Motability is a national charity set up at the initiative of the Government, with all party support in 1977 and is responsible for oversight and Scheme policy. Motability Operations Ltd is a privately owned company that operates the Motability Scheme under contract to Motability.
If you're thinking of taking your Motability Scheme car on holiday with you abroad, you will need to obtain a VE103 (Vehicle on Hire certificate)Opens in new window from the RAC, which confirms you have our permission to take the car abroad.
You can request this by calling the RAC on 0800 731 3310 . Youwillalsobe offered RAC European Breakdown Cover when you request your VE103.
You will also need a Green Card when you travel to prove your vehicle is insured. This will be issued by RSA Motability (RSAM) when you request your VE103, or sent to you at the start of your lease if you live in Northern Ireland.
